What to expect from treatment
Consultation
Your practitioner will discuss the nature of your injury, how it occurred, and anything relating to your general health that may be relevant. Initial consultations take between 45 and 60 minutes.
Assessment
Your practitioner will conduct a thorough postural exam to assess how your body moves and where any restrictions may be occurring with special tests such as reflex analysis or a neurological exam.
Treatment
Your practitioner will discuss a suggested course of treatment and answer any questions you may have. Follow up treatments take around 30 minutes and will be amended as and when required.
So, you’re probably thinking that Osteopaths “just do backs” right?
Osteopaths treat postural problems, repetitive strains and inflammatory or degenerative conditions such as arthritis, but we can also treat a number of other injuries and conditions.
We can treat acute (recent) onsets or chronic (longer term) conditions across the whole body, and the treatment you receive is specifically designed to meet the needs of your condition.
We have been treating our clients postural problems, injuries and strains for over 40 years.
Osteopaths believe that the body has the ability to maintain and regain its own health and vitality so long as it is properly aligned. It is our job to make small adjustments to the way your joints function so that you can live your life to its fullest potential.
